Hi everyone, my name is Gracie, and I am the 26th member of Grooming Glow-Up Project!When the ladies got me, I was covered in compacted fur and my toenails were very overgrown. Just look at my before and after!I'm a Chow mix, and well... if you know Chows, you probably know what that means. I can get excited easily, but once that initial excitement wears off, I become quite the lady. I get excited on leash, but after a little walk, I start showing off my manners.I love being petted, but please stay away from my toes. They're not my favorite thing to have touched. I am also very different outside of the shelter than I am inside of it. In the shelter, I'm territorial and nervous because I have no idea why I'm there. But once you get me out for a few minutes, my tail starts wagging and my personality begins to shine.Oh, and I'm a bit of a treat connoisseur. I've sampled the finest treats the shelter has to offer, and while most are just okay, cheese is where it's at. If you're looking for the fastest way to my heart, bring cheese.When you come meet me, just know that I'll probably be nervous coming out of my kennel. But give me a little time in the yard or outside the shelter, and you'll quickly discover what a wonderful best friend I could be.
