BLACKIE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:   Blackie          Best Guess for Breed: Lab mix    Best Guess for Age:  5 months as of Oct. 2026          SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight (still growing!):  25.4lbs as of 10/5   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   Shelter in Puerto Rico--needs DC area foster home   Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.   Blackie is Looking For:  Hiya! Me and my sister Mollie are the age of perfect puppy perfection! We are past all the crazy super young puppy stage but we're still young enough to be adaptable and filled with silly cuteness. I can't wait to take lots of walks and go on other adventures. Oh, and I'd love a chance to play with other pups as much as possible. That's really fun!! What My Foster Says About Me:  Coming soon!
