Gracie VI

Description

Gracie is an affectionate cuddlebug who is always thrilled to see her people. Friendly, playful, and full of personality, she loves greeting new friends, exploring outdoors, and curling up close for cuddle time. This social girl is great with other dogs, enjoying playtime and sharing toys with her canine companions. She is also wonderful with kids and gets along well with cats too. Gracie was originally rescued with a tail injury that required amputation, leaving her with an adorable little tail nub. The family in Louisiana who had her for a number of years unfortunately met with some catastrophic circumstances and needed to rehome her. She has been with one of our wonderful Fosters in Louisiana since 9/10. Gracie has a slightly above moderate energy level and she loves going to the dog park. She enjoys walks, dog-park adventures, playing, and exploring, but she is equally happy to settle in for serious cuddle time. She is doing well with housetraining once she learned the household routine. Gracie sleeps happily in her crate at night, especially with a treat, and can remain crated during the workday. She may protest briefly before settling. She loves food and treats, but is not food aggressive. Her leash manners are decent, though excitement may inspire some pulling. Above all, she is a loving, people-oriented companion who would adore a family ready to offer her affection, playtime, and a permanent place to call home. Gracie is heartworm negative and ready to come to Florida once we have an available foster home for her.
