Meet Calaya Kali (Cali)! Hello, my name is Calaya Kali, but my friends call me Cali. I was born in rescue on February 3, 2021, and adopted when I was 6 months old. Recently, through no fault of my own, I found myself back at No Dog Left Behind and am learning to navigate this unexpected change with the help of my wonderful foster family. I am a 5-year-old Shepherd mix with a heart as sweet as can be. I'm fully house-trained and enjoy the comfort of sleeping at the foot of my foster mom's bed. Being close to my people helps me feel safe, and I prefer to keep my humans within sight whenever possible. I am currently living peacefully with both a resident dog and cats in my foster home, proving that I can respectfully share my space with furry friends. While I am still building confidence in this new chapter of my life, my foster mom says I make progress every day. I do have allergies that are managed with daily medication and a limited ingredient diet- no cheese for me please! As I continue to settle in and feel more secure, my true personality is beginning to shine. My foster family is excited to watch me blossom and will update my bio as they learn more about me. For now, what they know for sure is that I am a gentle, loving girl looking for a patient family who will help me feel safe, cherished, and home forever. Could you be the one to give me my happy ending?         Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue.
