Description

About MeMeet Walter, a dog with a heart as big as his love for snuggles. Walter is the perfect mix of playful and mellow—he’s always up for a walk or a romp outside, but just as happy to curl up on a pile of pillows and nap by your side.Walter is leash trained and potty trained. He’s respectful of items that are not toys—but he does love his chew toys! He’s a friendly guy who gets along well with other dogs (he would also do fine as a solo dog). He has not been around children and would probably do best with older, considerate kids. His future family should not have cats or smaller dogs. Walter loves people and bonds quickly, often becoming your loyal shadow around the house.Having spent some time in impound, Walter is still working through a bit of anxiety about being left alone. He doesn’t love the crate, but he’s trustworthy when left loose in the house and settles down pretty quickly. He takes direction well from both humans and other dogs.If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will greet you with a wagging tail, keep you company, and fill your days with warmth, Walter might just be your perfect match. Apply to meet him and see if your home is the one he’s been waiting for!  WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? The Rescue Crew is a foster-based rescue, which means all of our pets are cared for in homes throughout Minnesota.  Foster Home Pets: Meet & greets are scheduled after an approved adoption application Cats at The PURRfect Match Adoption Center (Andover, MN): Some cats may be available to meet during open hoursPlease visit our website for the most accurate information on this pet and next steps. What Comes With Adoption? All of our pets are: Spayed or neutered Up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations Microchipped Dewormed On flea/tick & heartworm preventionAdditional testing: Cats: FIV/FeLV  Dogs: HeartwormPLEASE NOTE: Age and breed are our best estimates based on veterinary assessment and intake observations.
