Description

Hi!  My name is Georgie and I am looking for a forever home.  I showed up at a nice man's home who tried to find where I might belong without any success.  He then contacted a small local rescue for help as the shelter was full and said they couldn't take me and he really didn't want to leave me there anyway.  A volunteer with that rescue contacted BCAA to see if they could help and they said yes!  Well, upon arrival it was quickly seen that I hadn't had the best life as I had very little hair and appeared to be a dirty white chihuahua mix.  However, after seeing the vet and determining that I was just suffering from a flea allergy and neglect, I was placed on some medication and started getting some really good food on a regular basis.  Now that my hair is coming back pretty good, it can be seen I'm more of a buff or light gold colored boy.  The vet also feels that I'm really not that old at only about 18 months old and I'm finally getting to a good weight at just under 14lbs.  When I first got to my foster's, I was also pretty scared about all of the changes in my life but my foster mom just went real slow with me and I learned real quick she wasn't going to hurt me; then my foster dad did the same thing and I learned he wasn't going to hurt me, either; then I learned I really enjoyed getting attention & treats from them.  Now that I've setted in and gotten comfortable, I've gotten along with all of the other small dogs I've met and haven't bothered those things called cats.  I've done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of any of my bedding; however, I would really prefer to be out with you.  I've done ok on leash, better once I learn I can trust you.  If you would like to learn a little more about me or meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.
