A SWEET LITTLE FELLOW: Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 15 lbs. Hi there, I'm Amos! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and I'm very happy to be here getting the good care and love I deserve. I got to spend a few days in a temporary foster home and had a lot of fun there! Shortly after my rescue, the nice folks at MM discovered that I needed FHO surgery on my left hip—likely from previously being hit by a car, so they had that surgery done for me. I'm at about 85-90% usage of my leg and ready to finish my recovery in my new home!    • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I'd like to be your only dog. / Cats unknown, though I do have a strong prey drive. / I haven't met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me.   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a cute little shortie with adorable brown splotches all over me and a curious, sweet personality. I come with lots of tail wags, sweetness, and a lovely personality. In my temp. foster home, I really showed my true colors and was described as a perfect gentleman, a good sidekick, and a snuggle bug. I do have a prey drive when I'm out exploring the yard or on a walk, so I'll likely keep critters out of our yard. / Energy level: 4-6.   • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’, and ‘place’ commands so far and I also accept friendly strangers without jumping on them and I use proper door etiquette. Mostly Mutts offers free lifetime training classes for all their adopted dogs, so let's continue my training together. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts and were also good in my temp. foster home. / My potty manners have been very good at Mostly Mutts as well as in my temp. foster home.   • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love snuggling, being petted, eating tasty doggie treats, and learning new things—as you can tell from the list of commands I already know. I'm a smart guy who enjoys using my brain and continuing to learn. I also enjoy being outside with my family, whether we're going for walks, or just spending time together. / Other than other dogs, I can't think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise-once I'm at 100%, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I'm at about 85-90% usage of my left rear leg and I expect it will only improve in my new home with proper care! I'm not quite ready for hikes, running or jumping yet as I continue to recover. Gentle slower walks are best for now. MM will go over my care with you. I'm a smart and wonderful little dog looking for a wonderful family for life!
