Description
Introducing Marshall! Marshall is a 9 month old (approximately) heeler mix and is just as sweet and fun as his photos portray! He's a little velcro pup who will make the best adventure buddy in an active home! He loves other dogs and would love a confident sibling to play with, though he would also love being the sole focus of all your love and attention! He probably should be in a home with no cats; he's been a little too interested in the resident cat. When fully grown he will be about 40 pounds. Marshall is building confidence and working on skills like sit, come, and stay. He is unsure of new people and places, but with patience (and treats- he LOVES treats) he quickly warms up and shows off his cute personality. Marshall is the best cuddler! Currently, his favorite spot is on his foster mom's lap! Crate training is going well, but he's not yet staying in one for too long as we work through some anxiety. Marshall is learning that being alone is okay and needs some patience as he gains some confidence being without his human. Marshall would benefit from a home who understands, or is willing to understand, herding dog needs. He is a smart boy who needs both his mind and body exercised. He has strong herding dog instincts that need to be redirected and will need patience as he learns he is not, in fact, a working dog. Marshall is excited to meet you and can't wait for his furever home!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
