Description

Meet Sir Duke!Sir Duke, (Dukey for short), gained his full knighted title after bravely facing down an unknown entity, but we believe it was one of the dreaded species of Vacuums that live in the dark caves of linen. This encounter left him without front claws, but upon his return to Prance-A-Lot was greeted with cheers from every citizen in the land. (Please note, this story is entirely fictional- Sir Duke’s original owners had him declawed by choice, it was not some tragic accident with a vacuum). In his retirement he has continued to win over the hearts and minds of all citizens he encounters with his incredibly sweet disposition and love of chin rubs.Sir Duke may be retired from fighting dreaded species of the land, but that does not mean he has done away with maintaining his knightly practices. Sir Duke wears a Persian tuxedo coat every day which is totally normal for retired knights. Persian coats require daily eye and ear care, brushing and grooming to be maintained properly. Sir Duke expects that anyone working in his castle will be there to maintain his beautiful coat. The truth is Sir Duke wants nothing more than to be around his human. He is super cuddly and loves face rubs. He enjoys rolling around on his back and finds every opportunity to get close. If you bring any item of your clothes, he loves rolling around in it and showing his belly. If you faithfully fulfill your squire duties, then you will be rewarded with big eyes, the sweetest meows, and a never-ending desire for human touch and affection from this love bug.Sir Duke has not been exposed to other animals so we cannot say for certain how he would do with dogs or other cats. He has been exposed to LOTS of people and has always done fantastically with adults. Because Sir Duke prefers to be the baby he would do great as a solo cat. He will flourish in a household where someone is able to dedicate daily time to him for brushing, and then endless snuggles. Sir Duke will "... swear to be your shield for the rest of [his] days…” Can you swear to be his? Take Sir Duke home today!WE DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL LOCATION AS WE ARE A FOSTER-BASED ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO BE IMMEDIATELY CONNECTED TO A SCREENER.Apply at online application (catsfff.org/adopt)View all of our adoptable cats here (catsfff.org/cats)Our adoption fees are listed here (catsfff.org/adoption-fees)
