Thelma (A143113) is a 1-year-and-2-month-old GSD mix who weighed 53.9lbs at intake!10/09/26 Thelma, previously known as Willow, is back at the shelter and looking for her new place to call home! She arrived as a stray, so we do not have any behavioral history in a home setting. Since being back at the shelter, she has been a bundle of joy! She does not seem bothered by her canine neighbors and seems to have a playful demeanor. Thelma has also done well at keeping her kennel clean indicating that she may be housebroken/potty trained! However, please keep in mind that there are always adjustment periods as she gets settled into her new home and routine. She is a young girl and would still benefit from attending a basic obedience class to continue working on her manners. We have found that with the proper treat motivation, she will sit! Miss Willow has been an absolute sweetheart while at the shelter! We do not know her history with other animals, but she has seemed to not mind her doggy neighbors while at the shelter. We also do not know how she feels about kiddos. Please make sure all introductions to children and other animals are done in a slow and controlled manner. Willow has kept her kennel mostly clean while at the shelter, indicating she may be housebroken.
