Description

** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Prospective adopters must be able to travel to San Antonio to complete the adoption process.  Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ ** Sunnie Sunnie has been diagnosed with heartworm infection.  Dogs acquire heartworm infections when they are bitten by a mosquito that was infected with heartworm larvae.Dogs with heartworm infection live happy, high-quality lives as long as they are given appropriate care. Heartworm infection is relatively common in the United States so we are in need of caring adopters like you that are willing to open their home to a dog with heartworm infection. We think that our heartworm dogs have just as much to offer their new adopters as any other dog and they deserve a chance at life. Adopters will receive all the necessary medications needed to complete the heartworm treatment protocol. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Her adoption fee is $250. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references, and criminal histories. Our adoption events are held every other Saturday at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232.  Event hours are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Additional questions may be directed to sagdinfo@gmail.com. ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX.
