Description
Chugach (named after a forest in Alaska) is the perfect cat for someone looking for a sweet but independent companion. If you are looking for a cat to keep you company but respect your physical boundaries, Chugach is the boy for you! He loves parallel play, always ready to sit next to you as you watch tv or across from you as you catch up on work. He is a great listener and enjoys being spoken to, he will occasionally chime in with a meow or chirp. He enjoys head scritches, ear rubs, and pets but will make it clear when he is done by meowing loudly or walking away. He is playful but enjoys his relaxation time especially lounging fully stretched in a sunny spot or on a windowsill. He loves cat nip and string toys. He does not enjoy being held or other cats. He would do best in an adult only home. This cat has been diagnosed with a heart murmur and would benefit from an echocardiogram -- we would appreciate it if their potential adopter could help us cover this cost ($430 total) in lieu of an adoption donation. This cat would prefer to be adopted alone and be the only cat in the home.
