Description
Maxine is a petite 2-year-old husky weighing about 34 pounds, with a gentle heart and an adorably cuddly personality. Her foster family says she may be called Maxi, but “Mini” might suit her better because she’s such a small husky girl! Maxine’s first two years weren’t the easiest, so new experiences can sometimes feel a little scary. She’s very timid at first, but she’s also incredibly sweet and friendly with people. Since arriving in foster care, she’s been learning that the world can be a safe place, and she’s growing braver every day. This quiet, affectionate girl loves long walks and even longer cuddle sessions. She’s also very excited about mealtime, although she can be a picky eater. Maxine prefers a little company when she goes potty, but she always does her business outside. Dog doors, however, are still mysterious and firmly not her favorite thing! Maxine is house trained and crate trained. She sleeps peacefully in her crate all night and doesn’t mind eating there, too. She isn’t especially interested in toys and is still learning how to play with other dogs. She can be selective about her canine companions, but she could happily be an only dog. Her experience with cats is unknown. Maxine is good with children of all ages and hasn’t shown any interest in escaping the yard. What she really wants is attention from her people, a couple of walks each day, and a cozy place to relax. If you’re looking for a sweet, low-key cuddle buddy and an adorable exercise accountability partner, Maxine may be your perfect match.
