Description

**Daisy is a mixed-breed dog. While she has a low-shedding coat, we cannot guarantee she is allergy-friendly.**   Daisy is the cutest ball of fun around! Daisy is estimated to be 2 years old, and she is a bubbly and active girl who is always down to party. She is the epitome of an extrovert and wants to make friends with everyone she meets - especially men. She is the perfect mix of playful and sweet and will sweep you off your feet with her affectionate and goofy personality. Daisy weighs about 12lbs, but probably would benefit from gaining a little bit of weight. Daisy came to us from our local animal shelter after she was found as a stray. She was covered in matted, stinky fur, and she is feeling so much better after getting shaved. She has settled in well into foster care and can't wait to find her fur-ever home. Daisy is an adventurous girl who loves her walks and drives around town. She is an on-the-move pup who has places to be and people to meet. She would be a great companion for someone who wants a canine buddy to tag along for whatever the day brings. She is a confident and comical girl who turns heads with her quirky good looks. She loves to be the center of attention. Daisy appears to have received some training in her previous life and already knows some basic manners. Daisy loves playing with other dogs, but also wouldn't mind being your one and only. She is food obsessed, so she does best being fed away from the other dogs in her foster home (she will steal their food or start an argument). Daisy thinks cats are friends, but can be rude trying to get them to play with her. Unless you cats want a wrestling buddy or can hold their ground, she would do best in a kitty-free home. Daisy could be a wonderful addition to a family with kids 7 years and older. Daisy is house-trained. She is used to being in a crate when home alone and will bark at first, but will quickly settle. She would do best with a family who wouldn't have to leave her alone for long or often. She has been doing well living in an apartment with lots of daily exercise. Daisy has the type of fur that will require regular professional grooming. Her new family will need to be prepared for that extra expense. Being a squished-faced dog (aka brachycephalic), she is prone to heat stroke, and her activity will need to be closely monitored when the weather is over 70 degrees. Daisy is such a wonderful girl, and she is going to make someone so happy! If you think that someone could be you, submit an application today!   Daisy's adoption fee is $400.   Apply to adopt here! https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/  Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org.
