Sweet Samson is an affectionate, emotionally sensitive, and energetic domestic shorthair tabby estimated to be approximately 5 years old. He is neutered, current on his vaccines, and has transitioned to an indoor-only life. Samson loves playtime, attention, and cuddles, and he really wants to be someone’s best friend. He is an excellent conversationalist who enjoys communicating with his people and being involved in whatever is happening around him. Samson is very smart and learns quickly. He has already learned to sit for treats and would thrive with someone cat-savvy who enjoys keeping both his active mind and active body engaged. Although he is now an indoor-only cat, he would probably love having access to a secure catio, though this is not a requirement for him. Samson lived outdoors for several years without the consistent care he needed. When he arrived, he was dealing with flea dermatitis, hair loss, intestinal parasites, and the need to regain weight. Samson has now reached healthy weight, completely regrown his fur, and his emotional health has dramatically improved with routine and consistency. Samson is learning that affection, routine, and safety can be dependable. He benefits from individual attention and from people who notice when he is stimulated or becoming overwhelmed. A predictable environment helps him feel secure, confident, and more in control of his emotions. Samson needs to be the only cat in his household. His experience with dogs is unknown, although he might be able to live with a calm, non intimidating dog following a careful introduction. He may also do well with respectful older children over 12 years old. This sweet boy has been through a great deal, but his desire for love has remained beautifully intact.
