Description

Spike came to the shelter as a stray on 4/12 and is still learning to feel safe in the world. He can be a little unsure at first, especially in new situations, but once he relaxes, his sweet and food-motivated personality starts to shine through.Spike enjoys treats, knows “sit,” and is easy to leash and remove from his kennel once he’s comfortable. After some time to decompress, he can settle nicely, calmly explore the yard, and return to his space with no trouble.In playgroup, Spike is still working on his social skills and can be very forward with other dogs, so he’ll need slow introductions and guidance. He would do best with a calm, structured home that can help him build confidence at his own pace.With patience, consistency, and a loving home, Spike has great potential to grow into a loyal and rewarding companion.
