Meet Teenie Tiny Macintosh! Teenie Tiny Macintosh is looking for his forever home, and this tiny boy is truly something special! Macintosh is the sweetest little lap dog who absolutely adores his people. Once he knows you, he loves nothing more than snuggling up beside you and being your little shadow. He’s gentle, affectionate, and the perfect pocket-sized companion who can easily go just about anywhere with you. He is also wonderful with older, considerate kids and seems to really enjoy being around little people. He’s totally fine with new people, although because he hasn’t had much socialization, he may need a little time to warm up and feel comfortable. Macintosh is very insecure around other dogs, especially dogs that get in his face or don’t respect his personal space. He is nervous when he encounters dogs or unfamiliar people while walking, and he can be frightened by large dogs and loud noises. That said, he does wonderfully with our 3-year-old Morkie, who is basically a cat in a dog’s body! They even snuggle together. He could do well with another calm, respectful dog who is happy to give him space and doesn’t demand his attention. He is also working hard on his potty training and has picked it up very quickly—he is basically house-trained! Macintosh does bark in his crate and can take some time to settle down, so he would not be a good fit for a home where he would be kenneled for long periods. He will thrive with someone who is home most of the time, such as someone who works from home, is retired, or simply wants a little companion by their side throughout the day. Macintosh may be a little nervous and unsure of the world right now, but underneath that insecurity is an incredibly sweet, loving little boy who just needs patience, security, and someone willing to show him how wonderful life can be. He just needs someone who will give him the time and patience to blossom into the confident companion he was meant to be.   Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe.
