Description
Meet Bijou, a 10-week-old German Shepherd/Lab mix with a sweet face, a playful spirit, and the cutest little white-speckled socks! Weighing about 15 pounds now, she is expected to be a medium-sized adult.Bijou is affectionate, cuddly, and always ready for some fun. She loves playing with stuffies, chasing and being chased, and showing off her zoomies by running in circles when she wants you to catch her. Once playtime is over, Bijou is happy to curl up with her favorite human and drift off to sleep. She also has a healthy appreciation for snacks!Bijou is still working on her house-training, as you would expect from a puppy. She is comfortable in her crate and may take a few minutes to settle, but she does settle. She gets along well with other dogs and shows interest without aggression. She has also been around cats and showed interest without aggression. She should do well with kids with the usual supervision and guidance for a puppy.Bijou settled into her foster home within about 24 hours and has been a happy girl ever since. She has typical puppy energy but does not seem overly high energy. She does prefer having her people around and may cry when left alone or when she does not want to be crated. She settles with time, but because she can bark or cry when left alone, a home without shared walls would be best for her right now. This may improve as she gets older and becomes more comfortable being alone.Bijou is getting spayed on October 10 and will soon be ready to find her forever family. If your idea of the perfect puppy includes plenty of cuddles, playful zoomies, and a little girl who wants to be right by your side, Bijou could be your match! you are interested in Bijou, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550.
