Kora — Gentle, Playful, and Ready to Love Hi, I’m Kora! I’m a gentle, sweet girl who can be a little shy when we first meet, but once I know I’m safe, I warm up surprisingly fast. I have a signature head tilt that people seem to find pretty irresistible. I like to think I’m just carefully studying everything you say. Once we’re friends, head and chin scratches are absolutely the way to my heart. I’m also an excellent companion if you like having a cat nearby without needing to be the center of attention every minute. I love curling up in the same room while you work, read, or relax. I’m happy just knowing we’re together. Once I’m comfortable, my playful side comes out too! I love chasing wand toys and bapping balls around the room. And if you really want to win me over, treats are always a good idea. I’m very food motivated and will happily eat whatever you’re willing to give me—so you may have to be the responsible one! I’d be happiest as the only cat in a peaceful home, although I could potentially live with a very relaxed, mellow cat who respects my boundaries. I haven’t been around children or dogs, so a calm home where I can settle in at my own pace would be best for me. I’m a lovely mix of independent, playful, and affectionate, and once I trust you, I’ll happily reward your patience with companionship, cuddles, and plenty of my adorable head tilts. I was rescued from Peninsula Humane Society because the shelter environment was especially difficult for a shy girl like me. Now that I’m in a foster home where I can feel safe and let my personality shine, I’m ready to find a forever home of my own. Fostered in San Francisco.
