Description

Meet Griffin, the ultimate golden boy with a heart as big as his glorious, majestic fluff! At 3 years young and 70 lbs, this Golden Retriever is pretty much the definition of perfection. He came to rescue from a loving home, so he already knows what it’s like to be cherished - and he expects nothing less for his next chapter. Here’s the scoop on why Griffin is absolute gold: The Ultimate Good Boy: Griffin is friendly with literally every person and dog he meets. There is truly not a mean bone in his handsome body! He hasn’t officially met cats yet, but given his playful, sweet nature, we think he could do great with proper introductions. Family Approved: He loves being around his people and is fantastic with kids of all ages. Whether you're hanging out on the couch or playing in the yard, Griffin wants to be right there with you. He gets very excited when you get home or when playing with fur siblings, so extra caution around small kids would be needed due to his size. A Master of Manners: * Crate Trained: Fully trained and happy in his space. * Leash Walking Champ: Walks like an absolute dream on a leash. * Smart Cookie: Knows sit, paw, and crate. * Top-Notch Recall: He has wonderful recall—especially if you say the magic word: TREAT! His Only "Catch":Griffin was surrendered due to his medical needs. He started experiencing seizures about 5 months ago (likely genetic), which have been controlled so far with affordable daily medication given twice a day, strictly 12 hours apart. As long as he stays on his strict med schedule, he has been seizure-free so far. His schedule can be adjusted to fit his new family's schedule, as long as the adjustment is done gradually and stays 12 hours apart. The best part? Taking his pills is his favorite part of the day because he gets them hidden in a delicious piece of cheese. Easy peasy!Griffin just needs a dedicated family who can commit to his routine and keep him healthy and safe. In return? He promises a lifetime of tail wags, polite paw-shakes, and unconditional, pure Golden love. Could you be Griffin's forever family? He will be available starting 10/10 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Pgh, PA 15114 KL# 16182. Apply today at www.PawsAcrossPittsburgh.com/adopt
