Description

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Yes, dog savvy catsGood with kids: Unknown, likely yesCrate trained: MostlyHouse trained: MostlyIf you’re a small dog enthusiast, look no further—Sasha is a tiny snuggle bug with a wonderful and whimsical personality! She’s a mid-energy cutie who enjoys play time but is more interested in stopping to smell the roses than going on a hike or a run. Sasha will bring so much joy to a forever home where she can feel safe and secure with humans who advocate for her in new situations.Sasha is cautious when meeting new people. Because she’s so small, she appreciates being able to take introductions at her own speed, taking time to sniff and observe before letting her affectionate personality shine through. Sasha will count on her family to help new people approach her slowly and respect her boundaries. This sweet little girl is very friendly and would likely do well with dog-savvy kids who can play with her gently. Sasha has done great with cats in her foster homes, and she’s become good friends with the other dogs she’s lived with after appropriate, slow introductions.Sasha has been working hard on her house manners and is making so much progress! She settles immediately in her crate and will sometimes go in by herself to spend time in her safe space. Sasha is making lots of progress with her house training and is doing great with a consistent schedule and plenty of love and encouragement. Like any young dog, she may need some extra time and patience as she adapts to her new home, and she’ll repay you with snuggles and puppy kisses! Sasha has also been working on her leash walking. She enjoys stopping to sniff all the interesting smells, and she is very comfortable being carried like the little queen she is. Sasha is not going to be one for long walks or hikes, but she will take pride in continuing to perfect her leash skills in her new home.If you’re looking for a pocket-sized companion who will cuddle as much as you want, Sasha could be your girl! Apply to meet her today! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line.
