Meet Drake! Drake is a handsome 1½-year-old Rottweiler mix with a big heart and so much potential. This sweet boy came to us very skinny, but he’s slowly gaining weight and making progress every day. We’re looking forward to seeing him continue to blossom with proper nutrition, patience, and lots of love.Drake is a super sweet, affectionate guy who is ready to find someone willing to help him learn and grow. He will need some training and guidance, especially when it comes to food manners. Because of his history and eagerness around food, his new family should be prepared to work with him patiently and consistently as he learns better mealtime habits.Drake does well with other dogs, which is a wonderful plus! We’re still unsure how he feels about cats, so a home without cats—or a careful, appropriate introduction—would be best.Because Drake is still learning and can be a little enthusiastic, we recommend a home with children ages 16 and up. A securely fenced yard is also strongly recommended so Drake has a safe space to stretch his legs, explore, and enjoy some outdoor time.Drake may need a little extra patience and guidance, but he has so much love to give. With the right family, continued care, and positive training, we believe this sweet boy can become an amazing companion.Drake is ready for his second chance.
