Meet Edith! Edith is an 8-year-old, 28-pound Schnauzer/Poodle mix who is about as sweet and easygoing as they come. She has settled beautifully into foster life and quickly found a comfortable routine. Edith is generally calm and quiet in the house and rarely barks, although she may occasionally join in when she hears another dog. She loves being around people and will great people thoughtfully when she knows they are friendly. She also enjoys meeting other calm dogs and is wonderfully social when she’s out and about. One of Edith’s favorite things is going for walks. She is a dedicated sniffer who believes every tree, bush, post, and interesting smell deserves a proper investigation!   At home, Edith is affectionate and easy to live with. She loves plush squeaky toys and will happily entertain herself with them. In the evenings, Edith sometimes gets an adorable burst of zoomies and wants to play before settling in for the night. She typically sleeps peacefully through the night in a dog bed next to her person’s bed. Edith is also a smart girl who already knows several tricks. She can sit and shake with both paws using either verbal commands or hand signals—and she is especially enthusiastic about showing off her skills when treats are involved! Edith eats twice daily and, while she can be a little selective about her dog food, a tasty topper usually does the trick. Mostly, Edith is simply a loving, affectionate, well-adjusted dog who settles beautifully into the home and enjoys being part of the family. She would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a sweet, social dog who still enjoys walks, playtime, and plenty of affection. Edith is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $300.
