Meet the puppy version. One of our Discount puppies, Target comes with extra fluff, a wonderfully balanced personality, and a very convincing argument for adding “adopt a puppy” to your shopping list. Known as TT in his foster home, this sweet boy has earned a glowing review: “One of our favorite pups so far.” Confident, snuggly, playful, and happy to entertain himself, he has a lovely mix of affection and independence. He enjoys being close to his people, but he can also head off on a little yard expedition or settle down with a toy. Once his important puppy business is finished, he likes to plop beside you. Shopping buddy by day, couch companion by… also day. Everything You Need in One Fluffy Package Target loves kisses, belly rubs, and scratches. He sometimes adds little affectionate nibbles or gentle “corn cob” nibbles to his cuddle sessions. His signature move? Scratch his belly and he raises a paw as though he’s waving hello or offering a tiny high five. Customer satisfaction is clearly a priority. He’s a wonderful lounger with just enough playful energy to keep things interesting. Toys hold his attention, exploring keeps him busy, and he’s comfortable settling in his pen. His foster describes him as people-oriented without being overly clingy—a puppy who enjoys your company and has his own little hobbies. A Considerate Little Coworker Target lives with older dogs weighing about 10 and 30 pounds. He likes sniffing them and hanging out nearby, and his relatively gentle energy is appreciated by his senior colleagues. He gets excited to see other dogs, adjusts well to new environments, and hasn’t been much of a barker in his foster home. Leash walking is still on his upcoming training agenda. He could be happy joining a home with other dogs or being the solo star, with adopters ready to keep building his confidence and puppy skills. Store Hours: Play, Snack, Nap, Repeat TT loves his routine. His day starts around 6:30 a.m. with a potty break and pen play, followed by breakfast at 7:30 and some backyard fun. A morning crate nap gives him time to recharge before another round of play, lunch around 1 p.m., and an afternoon snooze. Late afternoon and evening bring more short sessions of play, potty breaks, and rest, with dinner around 7:30 p.m. After his final potty trip at about 9:20, he heads into his crate for the night. He currently sleeps through the night in his foster home—a very welcome item on his list of accomplishments. Training Department: Excellent Progress Target naps and sleeps in his crate, enjoys a treat when he goes in, and can occupy himself with a chew. He’s learning the phrase “all done” as part of his crate routine and generally settles with little whining. Potty training is coming along nicely with frequent opportunities to succeed. His foster takes him outside about every hour while he’s awake, and he has learned “go potty.” Once he finishes, he comes running for his reward. He seems familiar with pee pads, although his regular outdoor breaks mean they haven’t been needed much. He’ll need adopters to continue that consistent schedule as he grows. Like any teething puppy, Target occasionally mistakes household objects for merchandise from the toy aisle. Fortunately, he redirects easily to an appropriate toy. One Special Note: Target has a tiny bump in his rectal area. He was seen by two vets, and they noted it could be either a polyp or a hemorrhoid. They advised that no treatment is necessary at this time, but his adopter will need to consult their vet and monitor as he grows. It does not bother him at all! Ready to Add to Your Family? Target’s extra fluff might catch your eye, but his temperament is what makes him such a special find. He’s sweet company, an enthusiastic little explorer, and a champion of the post-play plop. Give him a routine, toys, patient puppy guidance, and plenty of belly scratches, and he’ll happily supply the kisses—and the high fives.
