Description

Frankie is a sweet, affectionate neutered male cat that’s been through a lot and is looking for his long-deserved home. He was abandoned a few years ago and had to fend for himself on the streets. Despite this, he is super friendly and loves humans. He’s estimated to be 12 years old and is up to date on vaccinations. Here’s what his foster volunteer says about him:   How would you describe the cat's general personality? Frankie is the definition of a lap cat. He is an A+ snuggler and loves being pet. While he is very social, he is not at all overwhelming. He is a gentle presence with an incredible purr.  Does the cat enjoy being pet? Yes, he loves being pet.   If yes, on what parts of its body does the cat like to be pet? He prefers his cheeks, head, and back.   Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched? Not that I've noticed.  Does the cat come on your lap? Yes, he enjoys sitting in laps and he loves laying on your chest if you're laying down.   Does the cat like to be held? He doesn't mind it, but it doesn't seem to be his favorite thing.   Does the cat sleep in your bed? Yes, he does. He will lay on your chest while you're sleeping or lay next to you throughout the night.   Does the cat seek your attention? Definitely, but not in an annoying way. He can definitely "read the room" -- he'll seek attention when you're sitting or relaxing.  Does the cat like to play? Yes, but it's not as high on the list as snuggling.   What are the cat's favorite games and toys? He will bat around a mouse on a string, but isn't super playful.   How vocal is the cat? He is not very vocal; he might do a quiet "chirrup" when he enters a room you're in, but otherwise very quiet.   What kinds of sounds does the cat make? Does the cat scratch a scratcher? If no, please explain. Not that I've seen, but I have been encouraging it. Does the cat always use the litter box? If no, please explain. Yes, he always uses the litter box.   What food and frequency is the cat currently eating? He eats Fancy Feast seafood (wet food) 3x a day. No dry food and no treats.   Is the cat picky about food? No, he inhales his food in about 10 seconds.   What is the cat's favorite treat? I haven't given him any treats as the instruction was to stick to wet Fancy Feast.   What medication is the cat on, and how is it administered? N/A  Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances? Only one time when he just arrived and was overwhelmed. After the first day, never!  Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you? No  Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you? No Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)? No To the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful? He is slightly cautious, but warms up very quickly.  If you have observed the cat with other animals, please describe how they get on? I haven't observed him with other animals.   Does that cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren’t covered by the previous questions? He takes laying on top of any horizontal person very seriously.   In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt? If you want a gentle, snuggly cat with a relaxing purr, Frankie is your guy. He'll keep you warm on long winter nights and make sure you're never watching TV alone.  What are the cat's challenges and how have you found to best manage them? He will try to eat food that's left out overnight (even if it's wrapped in packaging). Keep all food in cabinets, and you're good to go!
