Nigel Fisher's ideal home is one that's ready for a cat with a BIG, goofy, dog-like personality. He is, you see, the grippy side of hook-and-loop tape looking for the fluffy, soft side to bond with for the rest of his life. Nigel was a Trenton neighborhood mooch who vanished for weeks at a time, only to show up wounded and skinny. That changed with vet care and a month of fostering to gain weight, make his coat sparkle and heal his boo-boos. (His tattered ear is testament to many scrapes with ... we're not sure what. He's a lover, not a fighter.) He talks (quite a bit!), snuggles, makes air biscuits and flops on his back to ask for belly rubs. He eats anything, from any brand, although he favors canned over kibble. (In foster he's on Purina Pro Plan.) He relishes the company of cats and dogs who won't beat him up. He has perfect litterbox habits and doesn't scratch upholstery. His toe fluff makes him occasionally slip and slide on bare floors, so be ready for that. More than anything, Nigel wants to be snorgled and kissed and brushed. Nigel is not the creature for you if your idea of a good time doesn't involve picking up 14 pounds of fluff, planting it on your hip and hauling it around the house like a toddler while you're trying to do laundry. Sitting at the keyboard? You have a helper. Enjoying tea and a biscuit? You have to share -- and oops! He just head-butted the mug so now you have a cat AND spilled tea in your lap.
