Description

Are you looking for a loyal sidekick, professional cuddle expert, and part-time home security system all wrapped up in a handsome 16-pound Boston Terrier package? Then let us introduce you to Toby! At around three years old, Toby is a neutered male Boston Terrier who is equal parts snuggler, comedian, and devoted best friend. His favorite place in the world? Wherever you are. Whether you're cooking dinner, watching TV, working from home, or even making a quick trip to the bathroom, Toby firmly believes life is better when shared together. This charming little guy loves attention and has never met a belly rub he didn't enthusiastically approve of. After burning off his daily zoomies, he'll happily settle in for an evening of cuddles and fully expects to be tucked under the covers at bedtime. Toby takes his snuggle responsibilities very seriously! Toby is also a huge fan of sunshine and outdoor adventures. Whether he's lounging in a sunny spot, exploring the yard, or simply soaking up the fresh air, outdoor time is one of his favorite parts of the day. Like all Boston Terriers, however, Toby's outdoor time should be supervised, especially during very hot or very cold weather, as the breed can be sensitive to temperature extremes. Toby currently lives with a family that includes three teenagers, and he absolutely adores them. He thrives with people he knows and trusts, but he isn't a fan of a revolving door of noisy visitors. Friends of the teenagers can make him uneasy, and new people sometimes make him nervous. When he's feeling unsure, he may bark or even nip to communicate his discomfort. Because of this, Toby is looking for a relatively calm home with adults or older children who can respect his boundaries and help him continue building confidence around visitors. When it comes to other dogs, Toby can be a bit selective about his friendships. He currently lives successfully with a female dog and tends to do well with smaller dogs, while larger dogs can sometimes be hit-or-miss. Cats are currently an unknown. Toby is smart, affectionate, and deeply devoted to his people. Once you've earned a spot in his inner circle, you'll have a loyal shadow, dedicated cuddle buddy, and faithful best friend for life. He already knows he's the best boy ever, and honestly, we're inclined to agree. If you're looking for a loving companion with a goofy streak, a sunny disposition, and enough personality to keep you smiling every day, Toby may be your perfect match. All adoptions begin with our online application at www.abtrr.org.   If you have questions specifically about Toby, please email us at info@abtrr.org.  While we do have a phone number, we have a very small volunteer base, and we are often unable to return phone calls in a timely manner. Thank you!
