✨ UPDATE — CHLOE IS SETTLING INTO FOSTER CARE! ✨ MEET CHLOE — OUR SWEET SENIOR QUEEN! Chloe has officially settled into her foster home, and we’re getting to know more about this precious girl every day. ❤️ Her foster has confirmed that Chloe has limited sight AND limited hearing , but she is adjusting remarkably well. She is incredibly sweet, cuddly and loving and is already learning her new surroundings and routine. At 12+ years old, Chloe should be spending her golden years curled up somewhere soft, spoiled rotten and completely adored. Instead, this precious girl found herself sitting in a local overcrowded shelter. Chloe is a purebred Yorkie weighing around 10 lbs, and we simply cannot imagine how a little senior girl like her ended up without a family when she needed one the most. Despite everything, Chloe is an absolute sweetheart. ❤️ She is mellow, gentle and good with other dogs. Her perfect day doesn’t require much—give her a comfy bed, a quiet home and her favorite person to cuddle beside while watching TV, and she is perfectly content! She’s definitely more interested in lounging around and sleeping the day away than keeping up with a busy household. Because of her limited vision and hearing , Chloe will need a family willing to give her a little extra patience as she learns a new environment. Once she becomes familiar with her surroundings, she adjusts well and continues to show just how resilient senior dogs can be. We are looking for a calm, preferably older household where Chloe can spend the rest of her life feeling safe, comfortable and completely loved. Adopting a senior dog is incredibly rewarding, but it also comes with senior responsibilities. Chloe’s future family needs to understand that older dogs may require additional veterinary care and support as they age. We want whoever chooses Chloe to be committed to loving and caring for her through every stage of her golden years. Because while Chloe may be 12+, her story isn’t over. She still has life to live, cuddles to give, naps to take and SO much love left to share. ❤️ Chloe is UTD, heartworm negative (tested below detectable levels), spayed and ready to find her forever family! Our adoptions are NOT on a first-come, first-served basis, and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully house-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, etc. can lead to accidents even with the most well-trained animals. All dogs have a $195 adoption fee, which includes a vet check, age-appropriate shots, dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies vaccine (if at least 16 weeks), and spay/neuter!
