Hi, my name is Tabitha! I'm a friendly one-year-old, 30-pound mix of tasteful snuggles, eager walks, and 100% pure love! I had a rough start in life--something dislocated my hip and made me limp a lot--but then my foster parents found me, and this cool organization called Dallas Pets Alive offered me a surgery! The doctors say I'll make a full recovery--which is great, because I'm ready for new adventures! My foster parents call me the Goldilocks dog, because I'm juuuuust right. I like long walks and playtime, but I also like chilling by the couch and chewing on a toy. I'm smart enough to know basic tricks like "sit" and "place," but not SO smart that I get myself into trouble. I don't mind hanging out in my crate, but I also really like being where you are. In fact, I'll follow you everywhere! To the kitchen, the bathroom, the backyard...and even into that all-staff Zoom meeting you never want to attend! But I also know when to back off and hang out while you do work or watch Netflix. I love kids and other dogs; they're AWESOME! I want to be friends with all the dogs, and I'm pretty good at figuring out what other dogs want from me. I can play with anyone who wants a friend, but I also know how to sniff and sit near dogs who don't really feel like hanging out. The only pets I can't live with? Birds. They fly! They clearly want to be chased! The best part about me? I learn quickly. I REALLY want a place to belong, so I'm good at paying close attention to my people and trying to figure out what they need. If you KNOW what you need, that's even better! I thrive with strong, clear instructions, and I'll do pretty much anything for chicken bark--except counter-surf. I won't do that. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise.
