Description

Foster location: Foster Home in Charlotte, NC Weight: 14 lbs Height: 12 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $ 499 Fence needed? A fenced yard is preferred, but not strictly required as long as Mera receives plenty of exercise through walks, dog parks, or other activities. Want To Know More About Me? Text Mera to 864-441-9075 for my full story - we'll share everything you need to know! Here's Your Quick Peek: If you're looking for a playful, affectionate companion with plenty of personality, Mera might be your girl. This sweet three-legged girl may be cautious when she first meets you, but once she decides you're safe, she becomes incredibly affectionate and playful. She loves spending time with her people, playing with her dog friends, and showing off her impressive backyard zoomies. Must have: An active family willing to provide plenty of exercise, playtime, companionship, and patience while Mera gets comfortable with new people Exercise: High - daily playtime, opportunities to run, and regular walks or other activities Best with: Active families, self-aware older children, and homes with a friendly, social dog Not ideal for: Homes with very young children who may play too roughly or startle her Energy level: High. Mera loves to run, play, and spend time with her people and dog friends. She gets intense zoomies and regularly sprints around the backyard. After she's finished playing, she's perfectly happy to settle down on the couch and relax. Good with dogs: Yes - she took some time to warm up to her foster family's dogs, but eventually became best friends with the foster's Goldendoodle and does well with the other dog as well. Good with kids: Likely yes with self-aware children. Very young children may not be the best match because Mera can become mouthy if she is surprised, caught off guard, or play becomes too rough. Good with Cats: Yes, with some reservations. Mera tolerates the adult cats in her foster home, although she doesn't particularly love them. However, when her foster family brought home bottle-baby kittens, Mera immediately claimed them as her own and became obsessed with caring for them. Fun fact: Mera absolutely loves her pupsicle ball and can spend hours licking and chewing it. But her favorite activity may actually be running around the backyard with her foster family and her Goldendoodle friend.
