Button

Description

Meet Button, a sweet and silly 10-week-old German Shepherd/Lab mix who is cute as, well, a button! At 15 pounds, this curious little guy is blossoming into a confident puppy who loves meeting new people and getting snuggles.Button has an independent streak and is perfectly happy doing his own thing. When it comes to other dogs, he is curious but a bit of a loner. He may give the resident dog a quick kiss before trotting off to explore on his own. He does not require a doggy sibling, but continued socialization with other dogs will be important as he grows. He would do best with dogs who respect his boundaries while he continues building confidence around bigger pups.Button currently lives with cats and is curious about them. He may bark at times, but with proper introductions and continued training, he could likely live happily with cats. He has not been around children yet, but he is a sweet boy who will likely do well with kids. As with any young puppy, he can be mouthy, so supervision and training will be important. This little guy is making great progress with potty and crate training. He keeps his kennel clean and will whine when he needs to go outside. He happily goes into his crate for meals and treats and may fuss for a couple of minutes before settling down for a nap. He will need humans around more often during his puppy stage, along with plenty of patience, training, playtime, and naps.Button loves squeaky toys, awkwardly zooming around the living room, and then crashing for a nap. He also has the cutest little squeak when he yawns! One of his favorite pastimes is finding cozy spots underneath things and poking his head out. A table, dresser, grill... Button doesn't discriminate!Button is expected to be a medium-sized dog with medium to medium-high energy, especially during his first year. His neuter is scheduled for October 10. He's gaining confidence every day and learning that the world is a pretty wonderful place. If you're looking for a sweet, curious puppy with an independent personality and an adorable little squeak, Button might just be your guy!If you are interested in Button, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550.
