Pet info, adoption cost/detail information below: PET DESCRIPTION:  Cookie is a 2 1/2 year old female, 15 lbs. Zero clue her breed mixes but had to pick some as place holders.  She came to us pregnant and heartworm positive so has been (and still is) out in a foster home so NOT in our shelter.  From her foster mom: Cookie is a sweet, gentle little mixed-breed girl who is ready to find a family of her very own. When Cookie first came to our foster home, she was supposed to be there for heartworm treatment. What we didn’t know was that Cookie was pregnant! On Easter evening, she gave birth to five beautiful puppies. It was her first—and thankfully, her last—litter. Cookie was an amazing mama and took wonderful care of her babies for nine weeks. All five puppies have now been adopted into loving homes, and it’s finally Cookie’s turn to be spoiled!   Cookie is small to medium size dog .  She is house-trained and is use to a doggy door.  She is very sweet. She can be shy when she first meets people and may need a little time to warm up, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality begins to shine. She loves treats, enjoys playing with other dogs, and does wonderfully around other animals.  She does not like thunder that much. We had a terrible storm a few weeks ago and she was no where to be found, I turned around and she was hiding under a bush and she had access to the house but I assume she got caught up in the storm outside.   She also does well being left alone, so she doesn't need someone by her side every minute of the day. Sometimes, I would find her in the sunroom or on my bed, just being very content. She would love a patient family who will give her the time and reassurance she needs to come out of her shell. Cookie has also been successfully treated for heartworms and is doing great.   After spending her first chapter with me caring for five little puppies, Cookie is ready for her own happy ending. She deserves a loving home where she can relax, play, be spoiled, and finally just be someone's baby.   If you're looking for a sweet little companion who may start out shy but has so much love to give, Cookie might be your girl. ❤️ DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch (and we register the chip at time of the adoption); certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more.  (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).
