SONIC

Description

Meet Sonic- More Fun Than a Butterfinger Blast!Trailing behind a couple of humans who were walking along a high traffic area, not appearing to be with them, our ACO observed this guy while sitting at a stoplight! This little cutie didn't seem to be with them - which our officer did confirm, as they let him know that he wasn't their dog, but was following them. Sonic is now on the search for a new and forever family who will keep him safe and with them! Since he has been with us, he has met two similar sized neutered males. His first meeting - he entered and began sniffing his new friend with his hackles up and a little stiff. He was very vocal with his new friend, like he may have needed a Snickers. We didn’t give him one, but we DID let a little time pass before he met another friend! He came on strong at first, but he soon settled down and began offering play bows and bouncing around with him. Please come and meet Sonic in person to see if he is meant to spend his forever with your family! We always recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children before adoption to ensure a great fit for all! We have no information how they do with cats and have no way to test for such. Make sure forever is a promise you can keep BEFORE you adopt! And remember the 3-3-3 Rule when adopting a shelter pet! 3 days for your new pet to decompress3 weeks for your new family member to settle in3 months for them to build trustWe are a first come, first served and in person adoption center with no ability to hold an animal for a potential adopter – Located at 430 Bristol Drive, Statesville, NC and are open Monday-Friday 12-5pm and Saturdays 11am-2pm.
