Cayenne and his siblings, Tarragon, Cilantro, and Rosemary Mae were born in a high kill shelter in West Texas. Their momma is Meredith. She had the puppies in the shelter. They are good with other dogs and people, and cats are unknown.  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training to be successful.   Hi, my name is Cayenne, and I’m currently accepting applications for my forever family. I’m a sweet, cuddly, playful boy who is always up for an adventure. I love zooming around with toys, playing, being silly, and making everyone laugh. When playtime is over, I’m all about my people. I’m cuddly and affectionate, and belly rubs are one of my favorite things! I love hanging out with my family, soaking up attention, and curling up nearby when it’s time to relax. I even watch tv! I especially LOVE kids! I’ve lived with kids as young as 4 and enjoyed being around them. I love their attention, being part of what they’re doing, and spending time with them. I’m also a very smart boy and a quick learner. I pick up training easily and really enjoy learning new things, especially when treats and praise are involved. With someone willing to continue working with me, I have tons of potential and am eager to please. I walk well on a leash and love to explore! I am a young Australian Shepherd mix, so I have lots of energy. An active family would be ideal for me. I love other dogs, so another dog in the home would also be great for me, but it’s not a requirement. I bark when new people enter my home; I am a great guard dog! I can be unsure of new men, but my foster mom thinks it’s because I want to protect my mommy. I just want to let her know that there is someone new in our space. However, once the new person gives me treats and time to get acclimated to them, I am okay. I will need patient men in my life who allow me time to get comfortable with them. I’m playful, affectionate, intelligent, full of personality, and ready to find someone who will love me for the rest of my life.
