Description
Meet Dale (pronounced DAH-lay), a sweet little Pittie with a heart as big as his adorable puppy eyes! At 3 months old and 25 pounds, this handsome boy is already rocking his very own Dalmatian costume. He is mostly white with gray spots, plus two extra-special black spots, one behind his right ear and one on his left “butt cheek.” How cute is that?Dale got his name after being part of a group of Pet Haven puppies who got to hang out backstage at the Pitbull concert at Mystic Lake. Pitbull often says “Dale!” at his concerts, which translates to “Let’s go!” And this sweet boy is ready to say just that as he heads toward his forever home.Sweet is the perfect word for Dale. He gently looks into your eyes with so much love and trust that he will melt your heart. He loves head rubs, ear scritches, being cradled like a baby, and plenty of one-on-one affection. He also loves treats, squeaky toys, toys with hidden goodies, mealtime, and intense wrestling sessions with his puppy brothers.Dale is a calm, observant puppy who likes to hang back and take in a new situation before jumping in. He has an adorable head tilt that appears whenever he is listening to someone or watching something interesting. He recently discovered his reflection in the oven door and was fascinated by his handsome new friend, even barking at him and giving him kisses!Dale gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys playing with both puppies and adult dogs. He is curious about unfamiliar dogs but prefers to observe rather than rush up to them. His compatibility with cats is unknown. Dale is also good with children and enjoys being petted by his foster family's two granddaughters, ages 3 and 7. As with any puppy, some playful mouthing can happen.Potty training is going well. Dale keeps his crate dry overnight most of the time and is learning that pottying outside earns treats. He has good signals when he needs to go, although sometimes he gives you very little warning! He is not fully crate trained yet, but willingly goes into his crate at bedtime, settles quickly, and sleeps quietly overnight.Dale is expected to be a medium-sized dog with medium energy. A daily walk and a couple of play sessions should keep him happy. If you're looking for a loving, cuddly puppy with an adorable spotted look and a whole lot of sweetness, Dale is ready to meet you.
