Sugar Plum (A143394) is a 4-year-old GSD who weighed over 70lbs at intake!09/30/26 Miss Sugar Plum is back at the shelter and looking for her right fit! She was described as a great dog who loves people and attention! She was said to be food motivated, enjoys going on walks (and walks well), but is not overly fond of toys. Her surrendering owner felt she would really enjoy a fenced-in yard to lounge and play in. Sugar Plum was said to be kennel-trained, housebroken, and rides well in a vehicle. She was said to be friendly towards the cat in the home, but possibly a bit too interested, constantly following him around. If you have other animals in your home, appropriate introductions are important and keeping this information in mind. If you are interested in meeting Sugar Plum, please let us know! 09/18/26 This incredibly sweet and cuddly girl is Sugar Plum! Sugar Plum arrived at the shelter as a stray, so we do not know much about her history. We were able to learn her name from her microchip, but there was no owner information attached to it. While at the shelter, Sugar Plum has done well with keeping her kennel clean, indicating she may be housebroken. She has been incredibly lovey with care staff and she seems to really love hugs. She will jump up at times to seek attention. We do not know how Miss Sugar Plum feels about other animals or kids, so please make sure any and all introductions are done in a slow and controlled manner. She has not seemed particularly interested in her doggy neighbors, one way or another, at the shelter, so it is difficult to judge her feelings about them. We encourage researching how to properly introduce a new dog into the home prior to adopting. Miss Sugar Plum has been very well mannered during her stay, and she walks well on a leash (unless she's jumping up for attention).
