Conner — Follow Your Nose, Find Your Family If Conner could tell you what his perfect day looks like, it would probably involve a new place to explore, plenty of interesting smells to investigate, a little adventure and, at the end of it all, a comfortable place to curl up with someone he loves. Conner is a handsome, mostly red hound mix and one of Biscuit’s very special 12 puppies. His momma came into rescue after being found living in the woods and surviving by eating from neighborhood garbage cans. A kind family took her in during the middle of May, and it wasn’t long before they discovered that Biscuit was expecting a dozen puppies. On July 11th, Conner and his 11 siblings arrived, and foster mom Celeste made the incredible commitment to take a month off from work so she could stay home and care for this big little family. Conner has definitely inherited some of that classic hound curiosity. His nose seems to have a mind of its own, and wherever there is something new to smell, Conner is ready to investigate. He loves exploring new places and checking out the world around him, and watching him discover something for the first time is part of the fun of getting to know him. But Conner isn’t all adventure. Once he has finished following his nose and satisfying his curiosity, he is more than happy to trade his explorer hat for his cuddler hat. He loves settling in for affection and attention, and that sweet, gentle side of him is what really makes him special. He may be busy exploring one minute and happily snuggled beside you the next. Conner is expected to grow into a handsome boy of around 50 pounds, giving his future family a wonderful medium-sized companion with plenty of personality. He already loves other dogs, children and cats, so he has the makings of a very social family dog who wants to be included in whatever his people are doing. There is something especially endearing about a puppy like Conner. He has enough curiosity to keep life interesting, enough hound instinct to make every walk an adventure, and enough sweetness to make you want to scoop him up when the exploring is over. His beginning was one that he didn’t choose, but thanks to Biscuit’s rescue and the incredible care his foster family gave this litter, Conner has had the chance to grow up surrounded by people who love him. Now he is ready to find the people who will make sure the rest of his story is just as wonderful. If you’re looking for a puppy who will happily explore the world with you and then come home and curl up by your side, Conner might just be your boy.
