    HOW IS THIS PRECIOUS SCHNAUZER MIX STILL WAITING? We look into 8-month-old Russell’s eyes every day and wonder how he keeps getting passed by. For 4 long months—half of his entire life—this sweet Schnauzer mix has watched other dogs find their forever families while he stays behind at Zani's Furry Friends ZFF .The most heartbreaking part? He hasn't received a single application. Not one.Russell doesn't let it break his spirit, though. He is already fully house-trained and tries so hard to be the perfect boy. This darling pup from Puerto Rico is the definition of pure joy. He loves nothing more than playing fetch, proudly trotting right back to place the ball gently in your hand. He is also the ultimate co-pilot for car rides, especially if the destination involves his absolute favorite treat: a delicious pup cup! He has that wonderful, smart Schnauzer personality—he is so eager to please, so full of love, and so incredibly ready to belong to someone. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate!
