Trixie

Description

✨ UPDATE!! MEET TRIXIE! ✨ Look at this tiny little cutie! Trixie and her siblings were saved from a local overcrowded shelter and are now getting settled into foster care. We’ll have updated pictures and more information as their personalities begin to shine, but we already know one thing for sure—they are ADORABLE! ❤️ Trixie is an 8-week-old Terrier mix weighing only 2–2.5 lbs. Based on her current size, we believe she will grow into a small-to-medium-sized adult, but as with any mixed-breed puppy, adult size is only an estimate. She’s already showing us that she’s spunky, playful, and full of puppy personality! She and her siblings will spend the next couple of weeks growing, playing, socializing, and getting ready for their forever families. Trixie will be ready to go home in approximately two weeks, after receiving her second round of vaccines and being spayed. We are accepting applications NOW and will begin reserving these babies for their perfect forever homes! ✨ Our adoptions are NOT first come, first served, and there is NO fee to apply. Our goal is always to find the home that is the best match for each individual animal. We also never state that any animal is fully house-trained. New environments, situations, families, and routines can lead to accidents—even with the most well-trained animals. With a puppy this young, adopters should be prepared to continue potty training, socialization, and all the other fun that comes with raising a baby! ADOPTION FEE: $195 This includes a vet check, age-appropriate vaccinations (at least 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm testing if over 6 months old, rabies vaccination if at least 16 weeks old, and spay/neuter. All puppies will be altered before adoption. As part of our rescue’s spay/neuter policy, healthy and adoptable dogs over 8 weeks old and 2 lbs. will be altered prior to adoption. We have discussed pediatric spay/neuter extensively with multiple veterinarians and, from a rescue standpoint, this is an important part of our efforts to prevent unwanted litters. Please do not request an extension or exception for a healthy puppy, as one will not be granted. RESERVING A PUPPY: Puppies/dogs whose vetting is not yet complete may be reserved with an approved application and a non-refundable $50 deposit. A deposit should ONLY be submitted after Wags & Whiskers has contacted you regarding your approval and specifically requested it. The $50 deposit is applied toward the $195 adoption fee, leaving a $145 balance due at pickup. ❤️ Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue is an ALL-VOLUNTEER rescue. Please give our volunteers time to respond to inquiries and applications. We appreciate your patience and understanding!
