Trey

Description

✨ UPDATE!! MEET TREY! ✨ Meet Trey, one of the tiniest new members of the Wags & Whiskers family! Trey and his siblings were saved from a local overcrowded shelter and are now settling into foster care. We’ll be sharing updated pictures and more information as we get to know their individual personalities! What we already know is that these babies are absolutely adorable Terrier mixes! Trey is 8 weeks old and only 2–2.5 lbs. Based on his current size, we believe he will be a small-to-medium-sized adult, although adult size is always an estimate with mixed-breed puppies. Trey is spunky, playful, and full of puppy personality! He’ll spend the next couple of weeks growing, playing, socializing, and completing his vetting. Trey will be ready to go home in approximately TWO WEEKS after receiving his second round of vaccines and being neutered. We are ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS NOW and will be reserving him for the perfect forever home! Our adoptions are NOT first come, first served, and there is NO fee to apply. We choose homes based on the best match for each individual animal. We also never state that any animal is fully house-trained. New environments, situations, families, and routines can lead to accidents—even with the most well-trained animals. With a puppy this young, adopters should expect to continue potty training, socialization, and basic puppy training. ADOPTION FEE: $195 The adoption fee includes a vet check, age-appropriate vaccinations (at least 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm testing if over 6 months old, rabies vaccination if at least 16 weeks old, and spay/neuter. Puppies will be altered before adoption. As part of our rescue policy, all healthy and adoptable dogs over 8 weeks old and 2 lbs. will be spayed or neutered prior to adoption. We have researched pediatric spay/neuter and discussed it extensively with multiple veterinarians. From a rescue standpoint, this is an essential part of our efforts to prevent unwanted litters. There are no exceptions to this policy for healthy, adoptable puppies. Please do not request an extension on spay/neuter, as one will not be granted. Puppies/dogs who are not yet available because their vetting is incomplete may be reserved with an approved application and a non-refundable $50 deposit. Deposits may ONLY be submitted after Wags & Whiskers has contacted you regarding your approval and specifically requested the deposit. The $50 deposit is applied toward the adoption fee, leaving a $145 balance due at pickup. ❤️ Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue is an ALL-VOLUNTEER rescue. Please allow our volunteers time to respond to inquiries and applications. We appreciate your patience and understanding!
