Description

Well hello there, fine subjects, my name is Oreo! I am a 2 year old, neutered male, black and white, domestic shorthair cat looking for my forever people. I'm a majestic, larger-sized boy with a heart just as big. I'm a sweetheart who is always ready to greet new faces in hopes of receiving some love back - all the pets preferred, but treats don't hurt either. :) I'm a warm and affectionate guy who values people over toys so my ideal life would be a family who can provide me with quality time and cuddles. One important thing to know about me is that I am FIV+ (see information below) which means I must be a strictly indoors cat and the only cat in the household aka more hang out time for us - yay! If you think we might be a good match then come on down to the shelter and ask for more information about me. I can't wait to meet you!- Oreo ID#A0996299 This cat tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).  He/she otherwise appears to be in excellent health.  Cats with FIV can usually live for many years with no medical problems.  Usually at some point however the virus will start to affect them.  The most common thing that happens is that they get sicker than a normal cat would when they get a cold or other condition.  FIV is transmitted almost exclusively via bite wounds. For this reason we recommend that this cat should be an only cat and not be allowed outdoors.  New owner should be prepared to have expenses relating to veterinary care in the future. Please ask to speak with a PHS Veterinarian to learn more about this cat and FIV.
