Adoption Fee: $800 Meet the Saucy Puppies! Tzatziki • Tahini • Ponzu • Hollandaise | 10 weeks old Some puppies are sugar and spice and everything nice. These four? They're a whole condiment department with paws, fluffy butts, and absolutely no business being this adorable. Meet the Saucy Puppies, a delicious little quartet of Maltese–CKC Spaniel mixes who are ready to add a generous helping of laughter, love, and puppy kisses to your life. At 10 weeks old, they're still figuring out the big wide world, but they've already mastered the important stuff: playing hard, napping harder, and looking ridiculously cute while doing absolutely nothing. Warning: Side effects of adopting a Saucy Puppy may include uncontrollable smiling, excessive camera roll growth, and suddenly referring to your dog as your favorite snack. Let's meet the menu, shall we? TZATZIKI — The Big Cheese (Who Isn't Actually Cheese) Tzatziki is the largest of the bunch, with soulful eyes, soft curly fur, and a social calendar that is absolutely packed with YOU. When she wants attention, she'll stand on her hind legs and tap your legs like she's politely requesting to speak to the manager. Sometimes she'll just bounce in place because apparently her customer service department has a strict no-waiting policy. She's a fan of wrestling, tug-of-war, puppy kisses, and cuddles. And when one of her siblings is getting individual attention? She'll sit nearby and supervise until it's her turn. She's not needy. She's simply committed to excellent customer service. Her love language is physical touch, and her second language is Excuse me, I believe you forgot my turn. She's the big sister who says, "I'm not bossy. I'm the sauce boss." TAHINI — Small Package, Extra Crunchy Personality Tahini may be considerably smaller than Tzatziki, but don't let the size fool you. This girl is a full-service adventure machine with absolutely no off switch until nap time. She's her big sister's favorite partner in crime, always ready for a romp around the yard, a wrestling match, or whatever questionable activity the two of them can dream up. Once she's burned off some of that puppy energy, she transforms into a social butterfly who would very much appreciate belly rubs from the humans. Tahini is also the resident clown. She's got the sillies, the wiggles, and the kind of personality that makes you wonder whether puppies come with a built-in comedy channel. She's proof that good things come in small jars. She doesn't stir the pot. She is the pot, and Tzatziki is helping her tip it over. Her exercise plan is cardio, wrestling, belly rubs, and then a snack. She's currently accepting sponsorships. PONZU — The Sweet-and-Silly Softie Ponzu started out on the shy side, but this little guy is discovering that humans are pretty wonderful, especially when they come equipped with gentle hands and an unlimited supply of affection. These days, he'll ask to be picked up, happily emerge from his crate for playtime, and lean into a good petting session. If you stop before he's ready, he'll bump your hand to remind you that the service was not, in fact, complete. But his greatest talent? Dinner theater. Ponzu has a very unusual relationship with his kibble. Rather than simply eating like a normal puppy, he'll sneak up on a single piece, pounce on it, toss it around, pounce again, and eventually decide it's safe to eat. Then he moves on to the next piece for another round of The Hunger Games: Kibble Edition. He's not playing with his food. He's conducting a very serious taste-and-safety inspection. His motto? Why eat one meal when you can produce an entire dinner show? He's a little shy, a lot sweet, and currently accepting applications for his personal petting assistant. HOLLANDAISE — The Tiny Diva with the Big Name Hollandaise is the smallest puppy, the shyest little soul, and the proud owner of a name that requires approximately three business days to pronounce correctly when you're excited. She's learning that people can be pretty wonderful, one tiny boop at a time. Her foster family offers a finger, she cautiously approaches for a nose touch, and before long she's coming closer for more boops and cuddles. She's making lovely progress at her own pace, and it's a joy to watch her confidence grow. Now, don't confuse shy with clueless. This little girl has a brain working overtime. When Tzatziki gets a coveted toy, Hollandaise doesn't waste her energy trying to overpower a sibling who outweighs her by more than a pound. Instead, she puts on a little clown show until Tzatziki gets distracted, drops the toy, and—BAM!—Hollandaise makes her getaway. She's living proof that you don't have to be the biggest condiment in the bottle to run the kitchen. Her strategy is 10% courage, 20% cuteness, and 70% highly sophisticated toy theft. She's small, she's shy, she's clever, and she's already figured out that distraction is a perfectly legitimate business strategy. Life in the Sauce Kitchen These puppies have a surprisingly civilized routine for a bunch of tiny troublemakers. They wake up between 7 and 8 a.m. and politely wait for a human to appear. No barking, no crying, no tiny-paw percussion concert. They simply see you and announce, with their excited little faces, that the day's festivities may now begin. After a potty break, they enjoy backyard adventures, breakfast, indoor and outdoor playtime, and plenty of naps and cuddles. At bedtime, around 10 p.m., they settle down and sleep quietly through the night. Their favorite outdoor activities include chasing balls, exploring the yard, chewing sticks, and playing tug-of-war with toys. Sometimes you'll spot a puppy running around with two or three toys at once, because apparently one toy is an appetizer, two are a meal, and three means you're winning at life. They're also off to a promising start with potty training! They head toward their foster family's designated dog potty area when let outside, although their aim isn't always Michelin-star quality just yet. They're babies, after all, and they'll need continued patience, consistency, and training. When they first arrived, all four were cautious around people. They're now learning to trust at their own individual speeds, with some becoming outgoing cuddlebugs and others taking a little more time. They're also polite observers of the resident cat, watching her quietly from a respectful distance while she decides whether these tiny weirdos deserve her approval. The Story Behind Their Fresh Start The Saucy Puppies came from a situation that grew far beyond what their previous caretakers could manage. A concerned neighbor alerted Animal Control after noticing that there were too many dogs, and DPS Rescue was asked to help. The number of dogs had become overwhelming, and the people caring for them were no longer able to provide enough food for everyone. It was a situation consistent with animal hoarding, and these little ones needed a fresh start. They're now safe, receiving care, learning about the world, and discovering that life can be full of gentle hands, full bellies, soft beds, and people who show up for them. Their past is part of their story, but it doesn't have to define their future. With patient, loving families, these puppies have so much room to blossom. Is There Room for a Little More Sauce in Your Life? The Saucy Puppies are fluffy, huggable, kissable little bundles of potential. At just 10 weeks old, they'll need all the usual puppy essentials: continued potty training, socialization, positive reinforcement, supervision, patience, and plenty of appropriate chew toys. Their personalities are still developing, and their confidence will continue to grow with time and consistency. They'll do best with families who understand that puppies are adorable little works in progress, not fully assembled dogs delivered with an instruction manual. If you've been looking for a companion who can turn an ordinary Tuesday into a comedy special, make your heart melt with one tiny nose boop, or steal your favorite spot on the couch before you've even sat down, the Saucy Puppies might just be your perfect recipe. Adopt one, and your life gets a little saucier. Adopt two, and you're officially running a condiment cartel. Ready to add some flavor to your family? Time to fill out an application and come meet our pups! Because life's too short for bland puppies.
