Meet Pepper!Pepper is an 18-pound, 3½-month-old mixed-breed puppy who is looking for her forever home. Her momma is around 45 pounds, and while we don't know what dad was, Pepper will most likely be a medium-sized dog when she is fully grown.Pepper came into rescue with her sister, Pumpernickle, after spending the beginning of her life in a shelter in West Virginia.Pepper is a happy, playful puppy who loves everyone. She loves playing with other dogs, people and kids, and even thinks cats are pretty fun if they’re willing to play with her!She is still learning her puppy manners, so her new family will need to be patient and willing to continue working with her. She can get mouthy when she’s excited and likes to jump and play bite, but she responds well to redirection and is a very quick learner. Because she is still a young, energetic puppy, we think a home with older children would probably be the best fit for her.She is doing really well with her potty training and does best with a consistent schedule. She is also crate trained and sleeps in her crate all night without crying or having accidents.Pepper would love to have another dog in her new home to play with, but she could also be perfectly happy as the only dog. She is an active puppy and would do best with a family that will give her plenty of exercise, playtime and continued training.She has a beautiful black coat with little hints of brown throughout. Pepper loves being with her people and will happily follow you around wherever you go.
