Meet Emmy, aka Emmy Lou Who, aka Boo Boo!Our girl Emmy is making GREAT progress with her new medicine to help with her overgrooming. Her beautiful hair is slowly but surely growing back! She's ready to find her forever home… and yes, I’m already crying about it.And if you look closely, you’ll notice one of Emmy’s extra-special features — she’s polydactyl! She has extra toes and an extra helping of adorable!Emmy’s story is one of those that makes you wonder how she ever ended up in a pound in the first place. She was set to be euthanized at a local pound, so we snatched her up and brought her home. Little did Iwe know… she was pregnant!She went on to have her babies, The E Crew, and was an AMAZING mama. She took such good care of them, and even after they were weaned and ready to move on, she would hang out at their kennels just to play with them.All of her babies have now found their forever homes, and now it's Emmy’s turn.Emmy is a lot of sweet with just a little sass. And honestly… LOOK AT HER! She deserves to be a little sassy!She tolerates the other cats in the house, and they’ve learned her boundaries. If one gets a little too close, she’ll give them a gentle little reminder. LOL!For Emmy, we’re looking for a home that would be:A home that understands her personality and will love her for exactly who she is.No young childrenNo dogsNo kittensShe may do well with another cat, especially one who is calm and respectful of personal space. She isn’t necessarily looking for a feline best friend who is constantly in her business—a cat who isn’t too nosy, pushy, or overly interested in her would likely be the best match. With a little patience and the right personality, she may be perfectly happy sharing her home with another cat.She has come such a long way, and watching her heal and grow back her beautiful coat has been incredibly rewarding. Now we just need to find the right forever family for this sweet, sassy girl.Emmy takes a daily medication to help manage her overgrooming. Her medication is administered directly onto her ear, making it a simple and easy part of her daily routine. Staying consistent with her medication is important in helping keep her comfortable and reducing her overgrooming. And, of course, Emmy’s favorite part of her medication protocol is the Churu reward afterward! It’s a great way to make her daily routine a positive experience. Emmy Lou Who is ready for her happily ever after.
