Meet Oakland! Oakland is an approximately six-months-old female Chihuahua mix puppy with black fur and little white socks on her front feet. She currently weighs around five-pounds. Oakland and her brother (also adoptable!) were surrendered to the shelter when their family had an accidental litter of pups. Chi Town is helping get mama spayed and took in the two puppies to help them find forever homes. Oakland is full of puppy fun and loves to run and play. She has recently discovered toys and especially likes to run off with them and hoard them all in a pile. Oakland is a bit shy with new people, but will soon be in your lap soaking up kisses and cuddles. She is social with other dogs and would love a doggy sibling in her new home. Please remember that puppies become adult dogs and are meant to be loved for their whole life, not just until they grow up. Puppies will need lots of patience to help them learn their best doggy manners, leash-training, and house-training.  Oakland's adoption fee is $500 and includes vaccinations, microchip, and eventual alter surgery at the PAWS clinic on Cave Creek Road in Phoenix. Oakland has had her first set of vaccines and is due for her next set and spay in two weeks. We are open to her going to a home now, provided her adopters agree to keep Oakland from public spaces (no dog parks yet!) until she is fully vaccinated.
