Balto is a six year old male Shepherd mix, and a stunning boy who turns heads wherever he goes! Balto’s gorgeous, fluffy coat practically glows, and it’s so comforting to pet his super-soft fur. This sweet well-mannered boy rides well in the car and walks nicely on a leash, especially enjoying leisurely walks and taking life at a comfortable pace. Most of all, he loves spending time with his people and is happiest simply being by your side. While Balto adores people, he is not good with cats. He can also be somewhat dog-selective, where he likes some dogs but not others. Hence a Meet and Greet would be needed if there are other dogs in the home. Balto has been adopted twice and dearly loved as a “great dog”, but had to be returned through no fault of his own: in one case due to a landlord’s weight limit for dogs, and in another case due to a health issue that arose in the family. Balto has already had two families love him. What he needs now is the family who can make sure the third time truly is the charm - the ones who will open their heart and never let Balto wonder again when his forever home is coming. Come meet this very special boy soon!     The adoption fee covers the spay/neuter surgery, a 1-year rabies shot, an fvrcp shot (feline distemper/upper respiratory vaccine), test for feline aids and leukemia, deworming, and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm.
