Adorable Little Chihuahua Searching for Forever- Meet JJ! Coming to us from less than desirable conditions, JJ is ready to leave all that behind and find the forever that he truly deserves, complete with love, stability and compassionate care. We don’t know much about this cutie, other than he is friendly, little in stature but large in cuteness and was previously housed with many other dogs - Taco being one of them, and now JJ is looking for a new life. At 1 year 8 months old, this 7.80 pound cutie is looking for arms to carry him (if they want to- he will oblige!), as well as a heart and home where he will be safe, cared for and loved forever… as he should be! Please come and meet this little cutie in person when we open tomorrow (9/30/26) to see if he is meant to be a part of your family, for forever! Please do not comment on this post or message us if you are interested, but instead please come to the shelter in person to meet him.We always recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children before adoption to ensure a great fit for all! We have no information how he does with cats and have no way to test for such. We are a first come, first served and in person adoption center with no ability to hold an animal for a potential adopter. We are located at 430 Bristol Drive, Statesville, NC and are open Monday-Friday 12-5pm and Saturdays 11am-2pm. Make sure forever is a promise you can keep BEFORE you adopt! And remember the 3-3-3 Rule when adopting a shelter pet! 3 days for your new pet to decompress3 weeks for your new family member to settle in3 months for them to build trustJJ’s adoption fee is $40 through Saturday, October 3, 2026! All of our adoptable dogs/puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and UTD on all age-appropriate vaccines/preventatives. Adopters will need to establish vet care upon adopting to maintain their new family member’s health and wellness. Please bring a collar and leash OR purchase a combo from us for only $15 to safely take your new family member home.
