Fig is a gorgeous 1 year old brindle Miniature Dachshund with a BIG personality and plenty of energy. This little guy is always on the go, playing with toys, running around outside, chasing bugs, and having a blast playing chase with his foster siblings. His favorite toy is his small squeaky ball, and he can’t get enough of playtime! Fig is crate trained and does well with older children. He enjoys the company of small, non-reactive dogs and loves having a canine buddy to play with. That said, Fig has confidence to spare, if another dog picks on him, he won’t simply back down. He will not pick a fight, but he is not timid. He would do best with dogs who are respectful of his boundaries and play style. Fig was an outdoor dog in his previous home, so he is still learning his house manners and getting the hang of life as an indoor pup. He is a smart, happy boy who is making progress as he learns what it means to be part of a family. When playtime is over, Fig has a very sweet side. He LOVES snuggling up next to you in bed or on the couch, but he’s also perfectly happy to sleep in his own bed if that’s what you prefer. Most importantly, Fig is friendly with everyone he has met. He’s playful, affectionate, social, and full of personality. If you’re looking for a fun-loving little dachshund who will keep you entertained and then happily curl up beside you for some cuddles, Fig may be your guy!
