Animal Information: Sophie is a 3-year-old, 25lb Beagle mix that has been in foster care in OK since the end of 2025. She was heartworm positive, but received treatment and is ready for a home to call her own. Sophie currently lives in a home with dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes, and get's along great with everyone. She is affectionate, sweet, and playful. Foster Profile: Sophie has arrived in Seattle and we’re so excited to introduce this affectionate girl! She loves to sit with her head in someone's lap on the couch or curl up on a pillow. She has no sense of personal space and wants to cuddle up right to your face. She is also very playful and tries to play with every dog she meets. She loves soft toys, is crate trained and sleeps through the night quietly in her crate, but she would also love to sleep in bed if she was allowed. She is also quiet and well-behaved while left alone crated for a standard workday. She has very strong beagle instincts and spends entire walks scent-tracking. Although she has yet to find anything interesting, walks take a long time, and she's stubborn to move on once she's caught scent of something. She has been known to bolt after rabbits and squirrels, so keep a firm grip on her leash!  Sophie is very shy and anxious about going potty. She would do best in a home with a private yard where she can do her business privately on her own time and stress-free. When she first came to her foster in Seattle, she didn't "go" at all for nearly 2 whole days. After that she would only go once per day and only when she was home alone. It took about a week for her to finally relax and start to potty regularly on walks with her foster. Overall, Sophie is a wonderful loving girl who would brighten up anyone's day! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian.
