Looook out, it's Pennywise!! Note for adopters: Pennywise arrived to the shelter with a puncture wound infection on the bottom aspect of his left hind paw. He was medically evaluated and found to have no other issues besides the infection. At the start of treatment, his left hind paw was severely swollen and he could not stand on it. After a course of antibiotics and pain medication, his left hind paw is no longer swollen and he can walk on it. He still displays mild soreness of the paw and there is a small swelling in the previously-infected region, but there is no active sign of infection. At this point, we recommend that you be gentle and monitor his left hind paw for any swelling or worsening discomfort. If signs of swelling or worsening discomfort develop, please seek veterinary evaluation or contact our shelter.Our adoption staff will be happy to answer any additional questions you might have about Pennywise.
